What’s your favorite part of writing?

My favourite part of writing has to be the obsession for my characters. I truly believe they are real people that I’m getting to know. One of my current past times is listening to podcast about people talking about their struggles in life. We learn more about that person through the stories they tell us. I feel like I’m doing that with my characters. I’m educating people on how beautiful these people are. Yes, I know they are only real on paper, but in my heart, they’re real in life. I root for them to make better choices, I get angry when they hurt others, and I even hate some of them for the people they actually are. It’s one of the things that keeps me inspired to write because I feel like I’m getting to know someone as the reader is getting to know them. The reader only spends days or even weeks with them. I spend my lifetime keeping them close to my chest because of how much I love them.

Author Bio:

Zachary Ryan grew up in a black-and-white box in Maryland, before moving to Chicago to start a new life. There, he found that he was accepted for his misfit status–and learned that it’s perfectly normal to spend your twenties feeling lost and confused.

After a disastrous sexual encounter, Ryan stumbled on a group of true friends, or “soul cluster,” that he connected with. Through his writing, he hopes to help other broken souls out there find comfort amid the chaos.
